We’re excited to highlight another C3 Engineering employee, Christian Martinez!
Christian’s background in electrical compliance, and maintenance and acceptance testing spans over 12 years. He is a NETA Certified Level II Electrical Testing Technician and a certified level II Thermographer. Christian is adept in performing power system and field evaluations of unlisted and/or modified equipment, infrared thermography, power system studies, and electrical apparatus testing/commissioning.
Compliance work has consisted of performing field evaluation and labeling of equipment that had not been previously labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory. This experience includes both industrial control panels (UL 508A) and switchboards (UL 891). He is also very experienced in-field evaluation and data collection for the purpose of power system studies for NFPA 70E compliance.
Christian’s NETA acceptance and maintenance testing experience ranges in a variety of settings including United States Government Embassies, data centers, healthcare facilities, water treatment facilities, power generation plants, and other various commercial and industrial settings. Testing experience consists of overpotential (Hipot) testing of switchboards, panelboards, and medium voltage cables, primary and secondary injection circuit breaker testing, low voltage ground fault protection system testing, transformer testing, grounding testing, low voltage cable insulation testing, partial discharge testing, and line isolation monitor testing.
His infrared thermography experience includes inspections of electrical equipment ranging from 50V control panels to transmission lines with voltages greater than 200,000V. Christian’s thermography experience also includes moisture detection and heat loss recovery.
